Dear Friends,
Time sure does fly by. We have been back on the road for almost a year, and it has been a blessing to meet up with friends and family along the way. God has blessed us with health and safety.
Early this fall found us in South Dakota for meetings, and we were able to enjoy some time with my brother Andy and his family in Rapid City. We toured the Black Hills, visited Mount Rushmore, and also preached a revival at a church that ministers to Indian children. Later that month we were part of a missions conference in Douglas, Wyoming where two people were saved and funds were raised for missions.
We enjoyed being at a Servants Retreat held on Mackinac Island at the Grand Hotel in early October. It truly is a grand experience to stay in this beautifully furnished and decorated hotel. We got to the Island by boat, and with only horses and bicycles on the island, we walked a lot! Next I preached a revival in Charlevoix, Michigan. The salmon were just starting to spawn during the time we were there, but I didn’t get down to try to “snag” one. Maybe next year.
In October we were part of a mission conference in Bristol, Virginia and then back to Ohio to be in our home church’s mission conference. It is a blessing to be around these missionaries who have a burden and have given their lives to share Jesus with people in other countries.
We were back in South Dakota the end of October for some pheasant hunting. Our son, Barry and grandson Thomas were there as well, and I got to see Thomas shoot his first bird. We stayed with Mary’s brother, Gary and wife Connie, and enjoyed some good cooking and fellowship with family.
November was Thanksgiving, and we had a full house. Most of the family were home, but we missed those that could not be here. We ate too much, played games ’til the wee hours of the morning, and just enjoyed being together. We are so very blessed!

We are heading to Florida in mid-December. I know we may be called snow birds, but we did get some snow and cold this week. We will appreciate the warmer weather during this time of the year.
It’s almost Christmas! We love this time of the year. It has become so commercialized, with everybody hustling and bustling about, and we tend to forget the real reason for Christmas. But the amazing story is that the God who created us, also loved us so much that He came Himself to redeem us. Imagine the mighty Creator as a helpless baby, laid in a wooden manger on rough straw, wrapped in grave clothes, with only shepherds to worship Him, and a bright star to announce His birth. Shouldn’t everybody have a chance to hear this beautiful story?
Have a blessed Christmas and remember the reason we celebrate.
Forever singing His praise,
Bruce and Mary DeLange
