Dear Friends,
We are into the month of September and cooler weather, but the summer has been a good one. We have traveled many miles, and have been in some wonderful meetings. It is a blessing just to be with God’s people. Our summer travels started in June at First Baptist Church in Bridgeview, Illinois. This was our 27th consecutive year at this church, and we are scheduled for number 28 next year. Amazing! We have so many good memories and good times here. Brother Clark and his people have been a great encouragement and blessing to us. We were privileged to present the ministry of Fellowship Tract League at First Baptist Church in Hammond and also had the privilege of preaching to the men and women at the Pacific Garden Mission.
We spent a good bit of July in Texas: HOT, HOT, HOT! We visited with our daughter and family in Austin for a few days. We love the time spent with family, it always goes by too fast! From there we spent a Sunday with Pastor Seth Buckner and Heritage Baptist Church in Jefferson, Texas. It is so good to see this church growing. The rest of the week was at East Texas Baptist Camp meeting in Canton, Texas, with lots of good preaching and singing. We traveled to Oklahoma City to Southwest Baptist Church for their Midsummer Missions Sunday and had a great day with Pastor Jason Gaddis and his people.
August found us headed for Florida, helping our son move to Cape Coral where he will be working at New Testament Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Roan. Then we headed up to Elloree, SC to Fellowship Baptist Church, and Pastor John Salazar and the folks there. We have watched God do some marvelous things in this church. Next, it was on to Martin Baptist Church in New Albany, MS and Pastor Andy Russell for a two-day missions conference. We met brother Russell when he came to South Dakota several years ago and spent the week with us pheasant hunting. The next Sunday was with Pastor Joe Williams, Calvary Baptist Church, West Columbia, SC for revival. We are so thankful that God blesses our feeble efforts and very thankful for health and safety all the miles. We’re thankful, too, for His provision.
We were home for a few days the end of August and then in a missions conference in Marienville, PA with Pastor Terry Hebert. Our fall schedule is full, and we will be traveling many miles in the coming weeks. Please keep us in your prayers.
